It must be Monday

I usually like Mondays.  It's the brand new start of a brand new week and I haven't screwed anything up yet.  But this morning?  Not so much.
Stepped outside to start Blue this morning and noticed the front tire was low.  Went over to grab my regular cuppa joe at the local gas station and tried to inflate it and for some reason it wouldn't fill.  The air hose was puking air all over the place instead of in the tire so I thought I would limp it to work and take it to the tire shop that's near by.  But I noticed when I put the cap back on the valve stem that air was leaking out.  CRAP!  Drove slower than usual (I drive the speed limit, it's easier on the pocketbook in fuel and also fines if you get caught speeding) and made it to the tire shop on a wing and a prayer when she went really low.  Since the shop wasnt't open yet I had to sit and wait and by the time they did open it was pancaked.  OOPS
By the time a coworker showed up to pick me up poor ol' Blue was listing pretty badly and I think that whoever was elected to repair the tire prob'ly had to work on it out in the parking lot.  Poor bugger.

  1. Well, THAT sucks.

I used to be as perverse as yourself regarding Mondays, in that I liked 'em. I was one of those fortunate few who really liked my job (AND the money. Can't forget that.), so Mondays weren't bad for me at all. Usually. There WERE exceptions.

  2. Well at least tomorrow is the shortest day and then the days start to get longer.

  3. Bummer Zulu, as we used to say in the Submarine Force.

Hope the rest of the week is better.

  4. Now that's the way to start your week/morning. I'm just glad you made it all the way to the shop...Can you imagine pushing that sucker?

Ah yes, the equinox. I look forward to it every year. It's the signal (for me anyway) that winter's on it's way out.

Thanks. I know it will be. Fortunately the tire was repairable and the shop that I took it to does repairs free. I felt bad as that's the second time I had it in for tire repairs and had them fix a leaking seal while it was up on the hoist.

Nope, I can't. And the thought of rolling around in the snow, on the street in -18*C really didn't turn my crank!
