As far as I'm concerned this guy and any like him that have sex with little girls should be castrated and thrown in with the general prison population.
RCMP officers will head south shortly to meet with Texas Rangers and gather information about underaged Canadian girls who were married to or by Warren Jeffs, the convicted pedophile and leader of a fundamentalist Mormon group.
No officers have yet been assigned to go to Texas nor is there a timetable for the trip.
Jeffs is the prophet of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS) and has about 500 followers living in Bountiful, B.C.
Convicted last week of having sex with a 12-year-old and a 14-year-old, Jeffs was sentenced Tuesday to life in prison. Neither of those girls is Canadian, but at least one Canadian girl was named during his trial in tapes and writings that Jeffs made as he groomed his child brides for sex.
Earlier this year, RCMP contacted Texas authorities after receiving a list of 31 child brides with connections to Bountiful based on Jeffs' dictated diaries and other records filed in advance of the Texas trial.
However, the Texas Rangers told RCMP not to come until after the Jeffs trial was completed.
The list was also filed as evidence in B.C. Supreme Court during the constitutional reference case to determine whether Canada's polygamy law is valid or whether polygamy is protected by the guarantee of religious freedom. A decision in that case is still pending.

I have a feeling Jeffs just MIGHT get his comeuppance from some big dude named Bubba... pedophiles don't do well at all in prison. Fitting.
ReplyDeleteHopefully Texas isn't like Canadian jails, they tend to segregate them up here. Pity.
ReplyDeleteI think castration is a good idea for guys like that.
ReplyDeleteI'm usually pretty good with words, but t am totally unable to express my disgust with this whole thing. I only hope that Buck is right. And maybe Bubba and his pals will take care of that castration thing, too. With a dull butter knife and no chloroform.
ReplyDeleteThe worst part of the spill-over to Canada is that the BC government is friggen dithering over a 'religious freedom' case that's in the supreme court and the child abuse is STILL going on. Shit, or get off the pot!
ReplyDeleteI think old Jeffs will get what's coming to him, a lot of those prisoner's have daughters too.
